From 1965 through 1977 it expanded with supply plants in the United States and Germany, and by 1978 overall exports had grown by 7 million units.

Success under the Jaguar name led to an official company rename to Jaguar Co., Ltd. in 1989, with a full focus on designing and manufacturing sewing machines. In the 1990s Jaguar machines were introduced to the British market and have remained a familiar household option there since.
